Website offers information on Singapore’s heritage and also links to other countries national archives. It also offers access to archives and brief write-ups on prominent places and people in Singapore’s past.

2. Southeast Asian Archaeology http://www.seaarchaeology.com
Useful website for photos and maps of archaeological sites in Singapore.

3. Heritage Conservation Centre http://www.hcc.sg
A useful website for information on the importance of conserving historical artefacts.

For Landscape/Buildings

4. Urban Redevelopment Authority http://www.ura.gov.sg
Website offers information on the URA’s conservation efforts, plans and guidelines. It also offers a link specifically for students and researchers.

5. Chek Jawa http://www.chekjawa.nus.sg
Photographs of various flora and fauna in Chek Jawa can be accessed here. Useful as a primary resource.

6. National Heritage Board http://nhb.gov.sg
Website provides links to all museums and heritage centres in Singapore.

For Natural Resources

7. National Research Foundation http://www.nrf.gov.sg
Website articulates the government’s initiatives in various research areas most relevant of which are water and clean energy.

8. Energy Efficient Singapore http://www.e2singapore.gov.sg
Information on various programmes and incentives that are offered by the public sector to ensure energy efficiency.

For Flora & Fauna

9. Singapore Zoo http://www.zoo.com.sg
Information on the zoo’s conservation efforts, including breeding programmes, and list of endangered animal species in Asia can be found on the website.

10. National Parks Singapore http://www.nparks.gov.sg
A useful guide to parks in Singapore. Green map provided helps to identify the lush environments in Singapore. Link to National Biodiversity Centre enables students to access a list of useful publication on biodiversity.

11. WWF Conservation and Environmental Work in Singapore http://www.panda.org
Website allows access to other regional conservation efforts and provides information on pressing environmental problems, especially those directly impacting wildlife.

12. The Nature Society http://www.nss.org.sg
Not a very useful website in terms of information gathering but useful in noting the various activities organised to ensure the conservation of flora and fauna in Singapore. Links to blogs can be useful.

For the Environment

A very useful site with affiliated links to other relevant agencies such as PUB, the National Water Agency, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources and Singapore Environment Institute.

14. National Climate Change Committee http://www.nccc.gov.sg
Website is useful for information on currently practised green initiatives and technologies.

15. Singapore Environment Council http://www.sec.org.sg
Non-profit organisation that offers diverse programmes to create awareness of the environment. It also provides a list of green groups in Singapore, which is useful should there be a need to interview relevant authority on the green issue.

Recent speeches by the Prime Minister and the Minister Mentor on issues pertaining to Singapore can be accessed through this website.

17. National Population Secretariat http://www.nps.gov.sg
Recent media releases on issues pertaining to population and most accurate data on Singapore’s state of population can be found here.

18. Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports http://app.mcys.gov.sg
Good source of primary resource pertaining to population statistics ad different social groups.
